Does it Feel Like Christmas Yet? (a Christmas hamper reminder)

As I'm writing this, it's 11 degrees outside; practically shorts weather for a lot of Canadians. I know that Christmas is only five weeks away but it doesn't feel like it, does it? I've been working away on our Christmas services and budgeting for gifts but I'll admit that the urgency just isn't there yet!

If you'll allow me, I'd like to ignore the warm weather and bring some Christmas spirit to your attention today. We have once again partnered with House of Friendship to provide hampers for four families in our community. We need to collect items for these hampers by December 1st (only 10 days away!) so that HOF has time to coordinate delivery before Christmas. This is such a simple and beautiful way to care for our neighbours this season.

Pastor Erin has created a great registration form on our website. You can just follow this link, get logged in and then choose an item (or items) that you would like to contribute to these families.

I'm looking forward to celebrating this beautiful season with you with carols and Advent themes, events and pageants, but mostly with how we bless our neighbours.

Pastor Tracy
