I've come to realize that being a Canadian in July and August is a unique experience. We grin and bear months of arctic temperatures and icy roads (some of us even enjoy the snow... weird) and then we get an incredible few months of beautiful weather to enjoy.

A church that recognizes who they are in the body of Christ and willingly and joyfully serve the team over the long run, that's a very exciting church to be a part of.

I'm still trying to process all that happened this past weekend. It was overwhelmingly beautiful how many things came together at the same time... I'm going to try and put it into words.

It’s hard to believe, but this Sunday will be my last day as your senior pastor. Time has gone by quickly when you look at the big picture.

In this final message of our series from 1 Thessalonians, I want to show you how you can revolutionize your everyday world for Jesus.

Let us believe, then, that without Him we can literally do nothing. We must believe it, for it is true. But let us recognize its truth, and act on it from this time forward.

Have you ever been really excited about starting a new venture and then lose the passion for it sometime later?

Make it a priority to seek to please your God above all else every day. That is the sure way to stay on track with your spiritual growth and kingdom service.

It seems somewhat surreal, but this Sunday I will begin my final series of messages as your senior pastor.

On Sunday, I have the privilege of sharing with you the vision that God has put in my heart for our church.

Today is the fifth day of Holy Week or Passion Week.  In fact, this day has been called Maundy Thursday by Christians for centuries.

There are few images that have a greater contrast than the Lion and the Lamb. Lions are powerful, regal, wild, uncontrollable. Lambs are weak, helpless, tame. How can Christ be both? Or is my perspective skewed?

The Lion of Judah is one of Jesus’ titles. Why has it been given to him, what is its history and significance, and how does this affect our present and future lives?

This Sunday I will conclude our series with a look at something that will set you apart as a model of Christ-likeness and give you substantial credibility for your witness.

We'd be kidding ourselves if we pretended that our day to day race was always smooth and trouble-free. We are constantly up against one roadblock or another and sometimes there seems to be more roadblock than road in front of us.

"I don't run.  And if you ever see me run you should start running too.  Because something is probably chasing me."

Take the long view of your life and give it everything you’ve got to finish your spiritual race strong.

Disciplining yourself is difficult as it is, but being disciplined by someone else is another thing entirely.

Hebrews 12:1-3 immediately brings so many images to mind. The picture of a "great cloud of witnesses" is inspiring and overwhelming.
