A Little Loopy is a fun, casual and comfortable way to learn the skills of knitting and crocheting. Our instructors love to craft (like you!) and invite you to join them.


The Freedom Community Centre is so excited to offer Introduction to Knitting and Crocheting this Fall.

Course Description:
This course is designed for participants who have no previous knitting or crochet experience. At the end of the term, students will be able to complete the basic stitches in knitting and crochet. Each week students will complete a 15-centimetre/six-inch square using the stitch pattern taught that week. At the end of the term students will sew their pieces together to create a bag or a small blanket.  Students may also donate one or two squares each that can be sewn together into a blanket to donate to charity.

Cost:  $40

Age:  Anyone born 2008 (Grade 5) and older


Registration includes the cost of all materials needed to complete this course.  
Students will keep the following items:

  • Crochet hooks

  • Pair of knitting needles

  • Yarn needle

  • Scissors

  • Roll-up ruler
